UMBRELLAedible is an open recipe discovery platform. Anyone can read without login. To publish recipes, you must apply as Verified Chef via Join form. Applications stored securely in Firebase Firestore umbrellaedible → chef_applications. Recipes stored in member_recipes and recipes. By applying/publishing you accept all policies below.
Age: 18+ only. Minor accounts will be terminated.
Account: One account per email. Fake/duplicate emails will be banned. Founder account is protected and cannot be banned/deleted.
Verification: After approval, you get Blue Tick (Verified) badge. Founder/Co-Founder/Admin badges given by Admin via Telegram Bot. We may request ID proof for verification.
Free Membership: Currently 100% FREE. Unlimited recipe publishing after approval. No hidden fees. Future premium plans if introduced will be optional with 30-day notice.
Data: Name, Email, Role, Bio, Photo, Location stored in Firebase. You can request deletion via email. See Privacy Policy below.
Original Only: You must own recipe and photo. Min 800px width, no watermark theft, no Google images. Copy-paste from other sites = instant ban + recipe deleted.
No AI / Plagiarism: AI-generated recipes without own testing not allowed. All recipes must be personally cooked & tested.
Quality: Clear title, ingredients with measurements, step-by-step instructions, cooking time, servings, 1 cover photo min. Blurry/incomplete recipes may be unpublished.
Ownership: You retain ownership. By publishing you grant UMBRELLAedible non-exclusive license to display, promote on site/socials. You can request deletion anytime.
Unpublish System: Admin can unpublish recipe via bot. When unpublished, recipe is removed from public page but preserved as-is in /unpublished admin list with full name/image. Publishing again restores exactly same name/image - no data loss.
Prohibited: Non-veg if marked veg (serious offense), hate content, pornographic content, illegal drugs, instructions encouraging unsafe food practices.
What we collect: Email, Name, Role (chef/admin/founder), Bio, Profile Image URL, Location (optional), Recipe Data (title, ingredients, steps, images), Views count, Timestamps. Stored in Google Firebase (US/EU servers).
How we use: To show your profile on recipes, verify chefs, manage site via Telegram Bot logs (admin_logs collection logs executor name, email, UID, timestamp IST). No selling data. No third-party ads currently.
Cookies/LocalStorage: We use Firebase Auth cookies/localStorage for login. No tracking cookies for ads.
Third parties: Firebase (Google), Cloudflare Pages (hosting), Telegram Bot (admin only). No data shared with advertisers.
Your Rights (GDPR + India IT Act): Right to access, correct, delete your data. Email us at abhishek007g32@gmail.com with subject "Data Deletion". We delete within 30 days. Chef applications can be deleted via admin.
Retention: Active user data till account deletion. Deleted users logs kept in admin_logs for security (no undo). Recipes deleted permanently on delete command.
Children: Not for under 18. We don't knowingly collect child data.
Platform as-is: Site provided as-is. No guarantee of uptime, orders, earnings, or visibility. We are a recipe sharing community, not food delivery.
User Generated Content: Recipes are user opinions. We don't verify taste/safety. Cook at your own risk. Check allergies, expiry, hygiene.
No Guarantee of Orders: UMBRELLAedible does NOT promise any orders, income, clients. Badge does not equal professional certification.
Account Termination: We can ban/delete accounts for: plagiarism, fake veg/non-veg tag, harassment, spam, multiple fake accounts, illegal content. Founder decision is final. Logs kept with executor UID.
Changes: Policies may update with notice on site. Continued use = acceptance. v2.0 effective Oct 2026.
Governing Law: Governed by laws of India, jurisdiction Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

If you believe your recipe/photo is stolen on our platform, email abhishek007g32@gmail.com with subject "DMCA Takedown - Recipe ID". Include: Your original link, stolen recipe link on our site, proof of ownership. We remove within 48 hours after verification. Repeat infringers banned permanently and logged in /deletedlog.
Be respectful. No hate speech, caste/religion abuse, sexual harassment, spam in comments. No false veg tag - marking non-veg as veg leads to instant ban. No self-promotion spam. Admin bot logs all actions with executor email & UID for accountability.
Recipes are user-generated. We are not responsible for allergic reactions, food poisoning, or health issues from following recipes. Always check ingredients for allergies, check expiry, cook at proper temperature. Consult professional for dietary advice. UMBRELLAedible is not liable for any damages from using recipes.
